architecture jones is a multi-disciplinary design house that produces thought-provoking objects and environments of all shapes, sizes and complexities. founded in 2009 and based in los angeles, california, the studio employs an industrious clutter of methods and materials in the design of graphics, products, furniture, interiors, architecture, and everything in between. architecture jones believes that all aspects of our environment contribute to the value of our experience, and that we deserve to surround ourselves with objects that challenge and inspire us. there is no project too large nor too small for the studio to consider.
beth nelson is a licensed architect and the founder of architecture jones. originally from cedar rapids, iowa, her formal training came first at the university of minnesota in minneapolis and later at the southern california institute of architecture [sci-arc] in downtown los angeles. she has also spent a significant amount of time studying in both mexico and switzerland.
beth has been practicing architecture since 2003 and in that time has amassed extensive experience in design and project management for both residential and commercial projects all over the united states. her undertakings have ranged from 400 square foot prefab studios to sprawling international airports. she is keenly interested in the domestic and cotidian, and also in the surreal and the absurd.
beth lives and works in hollywood, california with her ill-behaved but very intelligent cat, radar.
